Gazebo Projects

The word gazebo was coined in the 18th century to describe an outdoor shelter, usually found in garden settings. Today, gazebos are used anywhere, becoming useful extensions of the home.  A gazebo provides the perfect place for dinner parties and weddings.  They can function as a protected outdoor playroom for children or an area for adult socializing; even function as a retreat for quiet outdoor relaxation and enjoyment.

Gazebo packages are designed to be fun and easy to complete, with the non-carpenter in mind.  When you purchase a gazebo, you receive a complete, ready to assemble package. This means the floor; sidewalls and the roof are included.  All the necessary hardware is also included.

A gazebo package should take two people approximately two or three days to assemble.  If you own two basic tools–a drill and a hammer–you could get started assembling a gazebo today.  All components and pieces of the gazebo are precision cut.  No time consuming measuring or cutting is necessary on your part.  Step-by-step instructions and a video make assembly easy!  You don’t even have to be a professional carpenter to construct the package, although limited carpentry skills are recommended.

Alternately you can “stick-build” a gazebo. This approach requires carpentry knowledge and building experience.  It is best to start by obtaining the building plan of a design you like.  Most good plans will include lumber sizes and cut list with helpful information for angles and compound cuts.
